Rediscover Beauty

What I have learned from all things Vintage is that something beautiful will endure and sometimes you keep something for one reason and one reason alone......It is beautiful, at least in your eyes. Trust me there are days I look at my children and think 'thank god you are beautiful because right now I'm not feeling the love'.

And so it is with the vintage treasures I come across which often cannot perform their original function but as a 'piece' still have intrinsic beauty and as such should be treasured. Here are my latest examples.

The details are divine...Whats not to love ???

 
I got these beautiful clock faces at auction. They no longer tell the time but in my book should be coveted for their form, typography, paintwork and fonts.

 

 

 And of course I could not resist this beautiful pendulum weight. That had to come home too !!!!
