Tamarah & I are in the process of finalising numbers for our fabulous Vintage Showcase being held Wednesday 28^th November at 12noon.

We must emphasise this is an exclusive invitation only event which will not be open to the general public.

Re-Think, Re-Purpose, Re-Use

 

Amazing Vintage Accounts Drawers 

 

I just received a new shipment of my latest "favourite things".

 

 

 

 

 They are drawers from vintage general store account systems. They were used to hold customer's charge tickets before the days of credit cards.

 

 

 

They are from the States and date from 1920 through to the 1960's. However in the spirit of Vintage Influence's mantra of re-think, re-purpose, re-use, they now have a new lease of life as ultra funky industrial display, memo, inspiration boards.  

 

 

 

 

I have added a few to stock at the stall, Vintage Influence, H5, at Waverley Antiques.

 

 

 

 

And just to show you HOW amazing they can look.....check out the photo of three of them in situ in the kitchen of one of my fantastic vintage customers.....

 

 

 

I just LOVE them.

Shabby Vintage Junk and Vintage Influence have teamed up to host the fabulous Vintage Showcase just in time for Summer, featuring an amazing collection of Christmas, Furniture & Homewares on Wednesday 28^th of November, from 12 – 3pm.

 

We are busy styling our new stock direct from the latest US & European shipments as well as those from our vintage vaults and private collections. Everything you see on the day will be for sale!

 

This opportunity is not to be missed as it is an exclusive invitation only event which will not be open to the general public.

 

The location & size of the venue means this will be an ‘intimate affair’ in Burwood / VIC - Australia (near Camberwell), and we are limited to 50 dedicated lovers of vintage, with our coveted goodie bags for the first 25 people.

Love Love Love Repurposing !!!!

All too often people gaze at my Vintage Finds and say......but what will I do with it.....Come on people put those repurposing hats on and live a little !!!!!

My most recent FAVOURITE find are these beautiful old store signs which back in the day were the Merchandising Prop of The Moment.

 

I have put some into stock only this week on the stall , Vintage Influence, H5 in The Cool Room at  Waverley Antiques    

 

Now many of you will look at these and think.....huh !!! So how about these ideas....

 

A funky art display, which you can CHANGE on a regular basis.  

 

 

Beautiful photo frames which are both stunning and original.

 

Really people, make a vintage girls day, look at an object and think outside the box.....the possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

What Makes It All Worthwhile

One of the things I love about my Business, is the great like minded people I get to interact with, share my vintage vision with and who are good enough on top of all of that to BUY my treasures !!!!. This weekend I spoke on the phone to two different Vintage Treasure hunters who were at my stall  at Waverley Antiques , and they both bought some goodies.

 

Imagine my surprise when my French Books, in their beautiful new surroundings, appeared on facebook courtesy of the amazing Vintage Dormer........Enjoy !!

 

 

Then my other vintage treasure hunter was thoughtful enough to send me a photo of my three American Receipt drawers in there new role as memo boards in their home.....Just Fantastic !!!!

 

It just makes what I do all worthwhile and reminds this Vintage Girl of why I LOVE what I do !!!
